Limited. Stock issued May 1, 1919
. Issued by the Illinois Trust and
Savings Bank. Certificate No. 3116 was issued to
Mervyn Winston Baum
for 125
Preferred stock
(£10 or $48.70 per share). Hand
signed by company vice president and assistant secretary. Certificate
is about 8.5” x 13”. Black print with orange
overprint/underprint.

The City of Chicago Brewing and Malting Company,
an English syndicate, was formed in 1892 to operate a brewery, and in
the same year, organized an auxiliary company, known as The City of
Chicago Investment Company, for the purpose of purchasing desirable
saloon properties in Chicago.

, light folds, minor creasing, no tears, minor signs of wear/handling/toning (see photos),
uncancelled.
