Antique African Tribal Gourd Container W/Raised Bird & Turtle Figures-Southwest

Hello, you are viewing my sale for an Antique African Tribal Gourd With Raised Birds and a Turtle Figure.  This is a Large Gourd that has a Southwest look to it.  This Tribal Gourd weighs approx. 1.2 pounds and measures 13 and 1/4″ tall with a top opening of 4 and 3/4″ by 11 and 3/4″ across at the fattest section of the body.  The raised animals on the sides appear to have been made from some type of hardened clay.  I am unsure of the exact type of material however that they are made from.  The top opening is missing some of that clay around the rim.  I have shown this in my photographs.  This is an amazing piece of tribal art.
